I made this train for T today, out of felt. None of the pieces are really attached and I plan to write numbers on each car with fabric paint when he starts to learn his numbers. He already knows his colors. Not sure how the best way for him to play with them is; maybe I should make a really big felt board! :)

Felt boards a good idea. You could put numbers on the cars & when he gets a little older he can put them in order. :)
